We Baptized Lauren today at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton. Deacon Frances Heffernan officiated the ceremony. It was really beautiful and Lauren was a very good girl! She listened to every word he said!! The party after was at Connie and Joe’s house. It was a lot of fun!!

1. I love that Lauren loves her feet!!! I think they are the cutest things in the world!! She sucks on her toes and it is so sweet!! I used to hold my bottle with my feet and drink it when I was a baby…..I’m thinking Lauren may do this as well!

2. I saw some baby pictures of Victor the other day and I know now that Lauren looks exactly like him!!! A lot of people say she looks just like me but I think it’s mostly because of the light hair and skin. But after seeing these pictures it is completely clear that she looks just like her Daddy! I will scan and post some to compare soon.

3. Some big changes are going to happen soon at the Ventura household. A new house is on the horizon…..

4. I am loving the fact that I am now a Stay at Home Mom. I truly believe this was what I was put on this earth to do, to be Lauren’s Mommy, and I am so happy that I can do it full time!

5. Lauren’s Baptism is on Saturday and I am very excited!! Grammie just came over and she dropped off the gown. My Grandmother made this gown and many of my family members, including me, wore the gown for their Baptism. It’s really very special! And Lauren will also be wearing some very special jewelry from the other side of the family! I can’t wait for everyone to see her and meet her if they haven’t already! The weather report looks good, as of now. It really should be a lot of fun! I can’t wait!!

6. I haven’t had a pedicure in more than 6 months. I’m getting one on Friday and I am extremely excited about this!! It’s the little things…..

7. I am already making plans for the next baby!!! I’m thinking maybe next summer so they will be 2 years apart, but I’m still trying to sell Victor this one. The summer after would be fine as well and then they would be 3 years apart. I can’t wait, though!! I really miss being pregnant!!!

8. My top 3 pet peeves:
~When you buy pants, it mostly happens with comfy pants, and the legs are two different lengths. That aggravates me!! I always check when I buy them in the store but I bought a pair online recently and when I got them, the right leg was at least 2 inches longer than the left leg. So annoying!! Not only does it make you look stupid but it’s also very uncomfortable!
~When people add a letter D to Congrats and/or Congratulations. There is no letter D in that word.
~When people don’t use their blinkers. But especially when whether or not you can go depends on which way they are going. Just put your damn blinker on!!

9. I think Lauren is going to be left handed. I know babies don’t usually show hand preference so early but she really does a lot more with her left hand than with her right hand. She really seems to favor it more. My mother is left handed and she would be so happy if Lauren got that trait from her!!

10. We are going to the cottage for the 4th of July and I can not wait!!! Victor has to work the next day so we can not stay the night but it is going to be so much fun!! I really love hanging out with the family, both the Pimental’s and the Ventura’s. I have so much fun with both! I love my family and friends and I am very blessed to have them all in my life!!

Lauren and I went to visit Grammie and Pop at the cottage! She loved it!! But who doesn’t?!?! She went to the beach and felt the sand for the first time. She also tasted the sand for the first time!! We can not wait to go back for the 4th!!!

Lauren went for her 4 month check up! Like always, she is growing big and strong!! The doctor checked to see if she lifted her head when he lifted her from laying down with her arms. At her past appointments she wasn’t doing this yet. When he lifted her, she not only lifted her head but she went straight to standing up!! He said most babies her age can barely lift their heads and if they can, they go to a sitting position. But she skipped that!! She’s so funny!! I think she’s going to do a lot of things early. I’m convinced she is a genius!!! She loves playing in her exersaucer and she is talking up a storm!!! She also started solid foods, which she loves!! Cereal isn’t really her favorite but she loves carrots! We’ve also tried applesauce which she seems to like, not as much as carrots though! I can’t wait to try all sorts of foods! Pears are next!! Here are a few pictures of her being a big girl and her measurements from birth and 4 months…..she is getting crazy big! I think she will be taller than both Victor and I, not that that’s hard to do!!

If you look up the word happy in the dictionary right now, you’ll find a picture of me! Actually, that isn’t even enough. I’m beyond elated, euphoric even. I was more than happy when Victor proposed, when we bought our house, on our wedding day, when we found out we were pregnant, the day Lauren was born……but this may be the happiest moment of my life! I’m officially a full-time stay at home Mom!!! I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to stay home with Lauren and watch her grow. I know how unbelievably lucky I am to be able to do this and I do not and will not take it for granted. Victor is the most hard working person I know and is the whole reason this is possible. I love him more than he will ever know. I appreciate everything he does for Lauren and I and I promise I will take the best care of her that I possibly can, I will try my hardest to keep this house as spotless as I can, and I will take many less trips to Target My family and I truly are blessed and I couldn’t be any happier than I am right now!!

I love this little girl so much!! I seriously think it would be impossible for anyone to love somebody more than I love her. Sometimes I think I might kiss her to death! She is such a good baby and I cherish every second I spend with her. Love does not describe what I feel for her. It’s so much more and so much stronger than just love. She is my life and I love that!

Jenn and I brought Brooke and Lauren to Capron Park for their first trip to the zoo!! It was a lot of fun!!
